So I was quite stoked to read what DesiBlitz had to say about my debut poetry collection, The Celox And The Clot published by Burning Eye Books. It’s always interesting to see how your words land with readers and is a vital part of the creative process that can be at times, both rewarding and terrifying.
As a writer, you won’t always produce your best, you’ll question yourself, feel imposter syndrome like no other or feel totally elated that you’ve nailed something. I’m accepting that these highs and lows are all part of personal growth and development. And there are no failings – just learnings! So, it was lovely to read a review that looked at the collection with fresh eyes enabling me to discover new things about my own writing too. The links at the bottom!
If you want to catch me performing live, I’ll be sharing my poems in Leicester on the 21st of November at the Find The Right Words poetry event run by the amazing poet and host Jess Green alongside fellow headliner – nationally acclaimed, Dr Rosy Carrick. To book tickets, click on the link!
And before I forget, Manchester Metropoliton University have just announced this!
